Jessie became a member of the EnDyn family on May 5, 2001 by joining the Service Division as a senior shop mechanic working here at our Alice, Texas facilities. Those of us that worked with Jessie had great respect and admiration for him and his mechanical abilities. Jessie was a coworker, friend, and mentor. He was always willing to teach the young guys anything and would go out of his way to make sure they understood.
On a personal note, having worked with Jessie for 10 years, I must say you always knew where you stood with Jessie. I remember one event like it happened yesterday. It is common in the service business for our customers to put us up against some tight deadlines, and in this one case we had to meet delivery of a package for a customer in Illinois. After a meeting with the guys assigned to the job about the work scope and delivery date, I made the statement that “we should have no problem meeting this deadline”. After the meeting, I was in the back of the shop with Jessie and he asked me who this “we” was that I referred to in the meeting. The question was asked in typical Jessie fashion with a chuckle.
The passing of Jessie will no doubt leave a huge void in the Service Division, but we can all find peace in knowing that our friend is finally pain free and will always be looking over us making sure we are “doing it right.”
May God bless you my friend and may you rest in peace.
